Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

This section provides clear, structured answers to commonly asked questions regarding our range of industrial adsorbents and support media, including activated carbon, molecular sieves, silica gel, activated alumina, and ceramic support balls. It is intended to support engineers, procurement teams, and technical buyers in selecting the right solution for their applications.

What are industrial adsorbents?

Industrial adsorbents are materials used to remove impurities such as moisture, odors, gases, and dissolved contaminants from liquids or gases. Common types include activated carbon, silica gel, molecular sieve, activated alumina, and carbon molecular sieve.

A desiccant is a type of adsorbent specifically designed to remove moisture or humidity. All desiccants are adsorbents, but not all adsorbents are desiccants. For example, activated carbon removes odors and organics, while silica gel removes water vapor.

Ceramic balls are used as inert support media in packed beds, towers, and reactors. They provide mechanical strength and help evenly distribute flow across the active adsorption or catalytic layer.

Choosing the right adsorbent depends on:

  • The type of contaminant (moisture, CO₂, VOCs, fluoride, etc.)
  • Operating temperature and pressure
  • Flow rate and cycle time
  • Regeneration requirements

Our technical team can guide you in selecting the most appropriate media.

We supply a complete range of adsorbents and support materials used in industrial purification, separation, and treatment processes. Our core product lines include activated carbon, molecular sieves, silica gel, carbon molecular sieve, activated alumina, and ceramic support balls.

Yes. With established logistics and warehousing, we can support both urgent dispatches and bulk contracts for international clients.

Selection depends on the purity target, flow rate, vessel size, pressure, and pellet size. SorbiTech helps our customers select the product.

The material should be handled carefully to avoid breakage, dusting, contamination, and incorrect loading.

It should be replaced when performance drops and the system can no longer meet the required output.
