aging.
Each tiny bead packs up to 415 square meters of internal surface area per gram. That enormous surface area works like a sponge, trapping water vapor, acids, fluoride, and many other contaminants, while the bead itself remains solid in both liquids and gases. After service, the beads can be heated to drive off the captured material and then reused, providing long life and low operating costs.

How The Alumina Media Works
When moist or contaminated flow meets the Alumina balls, molecules move into its network of pores and cling to the oxide surface. Heating the bed to approximately 200 degrees Celsius releases the captured molecules, restoring the full capacity.
