What is Carbon Molecular Sieve

Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) is an amorphous solid adsorbent.

Air-to-Nitrogen Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)

The Pressure Swing Adsorption unit consists of two Carbon Molecular Sieve adsorption towers. When the CMS is subjected to pressure in one of the towers, the nano-pores of CMS captures Oxygen molecule from air. Hence, this allows purified Nitrogen in the air to pass as product gas. Consequently, once the CMS is saturated with adsorbed Oxygen, it is then de-pressurized and the adsorbent is regenerated while the other tower is put into service.
